Actions with email threads

This article covers actions you can perform on an individual email thread. To work with multiple email threads at once, see Work with email threads list .

Assign email threads

Email threads could be assigned to specific team members to manage client conversations more effectively. The assignee’s avatar displays in both the thread header and list for easy identification.

You can easily handle your assignments from the Communications section, by using Threads assigned to me section.

Learn how to assign and unassign a thread, or filter the thread list by assignee in the dedicated article .

Note

If a client emails one team member directly and that team member assigns the thread to a teammate, the teammate can view the thread but can’t reply to it unless the original recipient has Allow others to send from my email enabled in their settings.

Work in progress

The functionality is being developed and currently available for Beta users. Docs on using the feature are being prepared.

You can link a job to an email thread from the thread itself, or from the job card.

  • From an open email thread, click the briefcase icon at the top of the thread, then click Link to job. In the Link to jobs sidebar, select one or more jobs by clicking checkboxes on the left, then click Save.
  • From the job card, click Link in the Linked section, select Email thread, then choose the thread you want to link. Here’s more on linking elements to jobs .

Print email threads /messages

To print a copy of your email thread or a specific message, follow these steps:

  1. From the email list, choose the thread you want to print from Inbox or Sent.

  2. Click the print icon either near the thread, or near the message. Your browser will guide you through the next steps.

Delete email threads /messages

A thread or specific email from a client cannot be deleted—email sync mirrors the messages from your email inbox.
